About Conference

The annual POWE Conference for Future Women in Engineering is an all day event for girls at the high school and CEGEP level who have a strong interest in STEM fields. Held each year at McGill’s downtown campus, POWE Conference includes as many students as possible, from those who have a strong passion for engineering to those who are merely curious about what undergraduate engineering can offer.

Over seventy student volunteers guide lab tours, answer questions during the design competition, network with student delegates during lunch, and more. Attendees will hear from women at all stages in their engineering careers including industry and graduate student speakers and an undergraduate panel.

The POWE Conference aims to promote awareness about opportunities available for women in engineering, answer delegates’ questions, and to inspire them to think

"I can do this!"
